Dr.Md. Ahakeel Ahmad, I.A.S.

Dr. Md. Shakeel Ahmad was selected for Indian Revenue Service (Class 1) in 1971 and for Indian Administrative Service in 1973. He was allotted Bihar cadre and served in various senior capacities in the State Government. He was also deputed to central Government where he worked in the field of empowerment of the weaker section of society which include the Scheduled Castes, the Scheduled Tribes, Minorities and other backward classes. He also did research work in the field of tribal development which resulted in a book entitled “Five decades of Planning and tribal development “which was published in New Delhi in 2004. He was appointed State Information Commissioner, Bihar on 25-08-2006.
